Visual Deterrence and Evidence Collection (CCTV)
To both deter intruders and provide clear visual documentation, we implemented a 4K surveillance system.
Cameras Installed:
- Showroom (8 cameras): 4K Turret Dome Cameras with wide-angle lenses for full coverage and facial clarity
- POS Area (1 camera): Directly above the register to capture hand movements, cash handling, and customer interaction
- Entrance (1 camera): Full-color night vision (ColorVu) camera to capture clothing colors, vehicle types, and other critical identifiers
- Vault & Back Office (4 cameras): Dome-style high-definition cameras for secure inventory tracking
Storage:
- 16-channel NVR with 30-day recording capacity
- Housed in a tamper-resistant cabinet inside the vault to prevent data theft
Intrusion Detection and Alarm Response
We implemented a multi-zone, addressable alarm system designed to detect intrusion attempts at the earliest possible stage.
Installed Components:
- Shock/Vibration Sensors: Installed on storefront glass and vault walls to detect impact from tools or forced entry attempts
- Magnetic Contacts: Secured all entry doors including vault, showroom, and back entrance
- Dual-Tech Motion Sensors: Infrared and microwave technology ensures precise detection with minimal false alarms
Panic System:
- Wearable panic button for store manager
- Discreet buttons at every POS counter
- All alerts linked directly to our 24/7 Central Monitoring Station for immediate response
Access Control and Internal Theft Prevention
To eliminate unauthorized access and minimize internal theft risk, biometric security was implemented for sensitive zones.
Vault Access:
- Fingerprint-based entry system
- Access limited to the owner and senior manager only
- Every access attempt logged with timestamps and user ID
- Complete audit trail available for investigation and accountability
Central Monitoring and Real-Time Response
All devices were connected to Penta’s 24/7 Central Monitoring Station, adding a final layer of human oversight and rapid intervention.
Monitoring Features:
- Immediate Action: Any triggered alarm prompts priority-level handling
- Live Visual Verification: CMS operators access real-time CCTV to confirm threats before contacting law enforcement
- Daily Reports: Automatic logs of alarm arming/disarming are sent to the owner, providing insight into store operations
